 The Nasielsk municipality is located in the central part of the Mazowieckie province, on the south-eastern limit of the Ciechanowska upland and on the territory of the nowodworski district. The city of Nasielsk, which constitutes the administrative centre of the municipality and 65 smallest administrative units in Poland are the part of it. Geodesic location of the city of Nasielsk delimit the coordinates: 200 48’ E (eastern longitude) and 520 36’ N (northern latitude). The Nasielsk municipality occupies the area of 202 km2, out of which12 km2 falls to the city of Nasielsk. In the whole municipality resides 19.407 persons, out of which, 7.370 persons live in the city. On the territory of the Nasielsk municipality intersect transport road trails Warsaw – Ciechanów and Pułtusk – Płońsk. Moreover, through the municipality runs the electrified railway track Warsaw – Gdańsk, being the part of the European main line E-67 Gdańsk – Vienna.
